Course description
This course provides a cross-functional overview of the Global Implementation Methods (GIM) framework and its application across the lifecycle of Avaloq implementation projects.
Participants explore the project types supported by GIM, including BPaaS, SaaS, on-premises and post-implementation projects. Through continuous project storylines, they gain an understanding of the phases, processes, roles, deliverables and methods that support successful project delivery throughout the Avaloq ecosystem.
The course also introduces the GIM quality framework, including key controls and project quality reviews, and demonstrates how GIM promotes a structured, repeatable and quality-driven approach to project implementation.
The course concludes with the Avaloq Certified GIM Professional exam. Participants who pass the exam receive the corresponding certification.
By the end of this course, participants should have acquired the knowledge needed to:
explain the fundamentals of the Global Implementation Methods (GIM) framework, including phases, competency areas, processes, activities and tasks;
navigate and use the GIM web tool and its standard functionality;
distinguish between BPaaS, SaaS, on-premises and post-implementation project approaches, including Release & Upgrade projects;
describe how GIM supports projects throughout the implementation lifecycle;
explain the purpose and key components of the GIM quality framework.
Participants must:
successfully complete the online Global Implementation Methods Fundamentals (GIMF) course;
pass the Global Implementation Methods Fundamentals (GIMF) assessment.
