Mission Statement

To introduce implementation professionals to the Avaloq Banking Reference/Starter Kit (ABR/S) and enable them to develop high‑quality, bank‑specific code within the ABR/S framework. Participants learn the concepts, processes, and development conventions required to deliver solutions that meet rigorous ABR/S audit, consistency, and integration test standards.

 

Course Description

The ABR/S Development and Customization program provides a complete learning path from foundational knowledge to advanced, hands‑on implementation within the Avaloq Banking Reference/Starter Kit (ABR/S). The program is relevant for on‑premise, SaaS, and BPaaS client projects.

Participants will learn to:

  • Work effectively within the ABR/S development and customization framework.
  • Understand the ABR/S code baseline and how it supports new client projects.
  • Apply ABR/S concepts, development conventions, program and release management practices, and issue-resolution workflows.
  • Implement and configure security within ABR/S based on organizational entities.
  • Use spreadsheets to apply configuration across the system, including rules and security.
  • Understand ABR/S data management, with a strong focus on bootstrapping processes across project phases.
  • Customize reports using the ABR/S reporting framework.
  • Apply knowledge through trainer‑supported exercises covering real‑world scenarios in a dedicated training environment.

The training journey includes theory, demonstrations, hands‑on exercises, quizzes, and virtual classes, with mandatory self‑study tasks to prepare for assessments.

Objectives

By completing the full DC1–DC3 program, participants will be able to:

  • Apply ABR/S customization guidelines to build high‑quality solutions.
  • Use ASMD coding support when developing within ABR/S.
  • Understand key ABR/S program and release management concepts.
  • Follow the ABR/S issue‑resolution and development workflow effectively.
  • Explain and use the ABR/S synthetic data universe.
  • Understand and configure ABR/S security structures.
  • Use spreadsheets to perform configuration across key system components.
  • Understand and apply ABR/S data-management and bootstrapping concepts.
  • Customize reports using the ABR/S report-writing framework.
  • Execute practical customization tasks aligned with real project scenarios.

 

Requirements

  • Participants must be ACCP certified
  • Participants must have completed the Introduction ABR/S course
  • This course includes a self-study exercise to help you consolidate learning and prepare for the virtual class
  • The exercise solution must be completed and submitted two business days before the virtual class (course date). Solution submission is mandatory - you must submit a solution to participate in the virtual class
